How my story began

Welcome to Casa Mia Cooking where you can find a collection of healthy Mexican recipes…

For over 15 years, we’ve been experimenting, taste-testing, and perfecting traditional homemade vegetarian Mexican recipes. Now, we’re beyond excited to share all our tips, tricks, and delicious creations with you! And don’t worry we haven’t forgotten about the original, non-vegetarian Mexican classics, either!

Growing up in California, I was lucky to be surrounded by the vibrant and diverse flavors of so many international dishes. Through this blog, I want to take you on a flavorful journey into Mexican cuisine and culture. My mom, who’s been my culinary partner-in-crime, infuses every recipe with the love and authenticity that only a family touch can bring.

Yes, my recipes are authentic. Mexico is a large and diverse country with over 30 states, each with its own regional ingredients, cooking techniques, and unique spin on traditional dishes. The recipes I share are inspired by Mexico City. While there are many variations of each dish across different states, my recipes reflect the flavors, memories, and traditions passed down through my family.
